    Roos on Adam Goodes

Very good news Roosy seems to be getting the message. Goodes is not a key position player, he is the ultimate utility. If he aint cuttin it in one area, let him move around and watch him carve up the opposition in another.

Coach Paul Roos intends to start him in defence.

"We would love to settle him down at centre half-back initially," Roos said. "But he is the sort of player you don't want to put too many restrictions on."

"You might see him forward, you might see him ruck roving, you might see him on a wing, I doubt you'll see him in the ruck now that we have Doyle, Jolly and Ball. You might see him in a ruck roving position."

Look we don't need perverts here on RWO, I mean I was brought up as a born again christian, and it has been hard enough getting a grip on my own sinful imagination, let a lone having to deal with comments like that.

is it actually possible to be "brought up as a born again christian"? isnt it something you do when you're having a midlife crisis ? (no offense to anyone, i hope)

Do you want to start a war ??
Next thing we will have gods warriors (the US marines ) banging down the doors of RWO demanding regime change in the name of Christian freedom.
Actually I wouldn't mind if it gave us a truely democratic board for the Sydney Swans.
Maybe we can have Richard Collese named as the head of a rogue state and imprison him in Guantonimo bay in a direct swap with that poor young victim David Hicks.

I guess it is possible to be brought up as a refry. If your parents had gone through that process already, then they will inflict it upon you from the day you were born... and you'd wish you never were and have a profound level of support for abortion and euthanasia...

BTW - this article was a perfect example of the meaningless fluff in the papers on football during the off-season.

"Goodes might play down back or up forward or on the wing or on the ball... he will probably wear boots and the same colour uniform as the other guys... he should have dark hair unless he dyes it... his skin will be darker than most players in the side... when he kicks he will usually use his feet and he will handball with his hands..."

              Good Goodes news:
              Occupational hazards:
I don't eat animals since discovering this ability. I used to. But one day the lamb I was eating came through to me and ever since then I haven't been able to eat meat.

Now at least that article has some 'useful' information we can take some comfort from.

Doesn't really say anything different, just a little clearer thats all. Obviously both were at the same press conference in which exactly the same thing was said.

Main part I focussed on was the lack of pain - re-reading the first article I see it was mentioned there too, but only in passing. Still, having said that, neither article really says a lot - it's akin to the 'I'm going to have a big year' articles.

Thanks cruiser for the info - we have to go to the age to get info on our own players. But good reading and very hopeful he will stay pain free - Goodes is looking the goods as they say.
                          Love those Swans
