Should this be our starting forward line?

    CHF; O'Keefe Hall Davis
    FF; O'Loughlin Saddington Doyle

Others who could play forward - Fosdike,Schneider, Buchanen, Jolly, Goodes.

Alternatively Saddington won't play there and we would go with another small, but I think we need his height there.

A good offensive Forward line, but who would do the chasing to stop rebound out of defence and lock it into the forward 50?
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Agree. All those are players who will spend time up forward, but as a single forward line it is unbalanced.

The one good thing going into this year is that with the rotating Ball, Doyle, Jolly and pinch hitting Saddington we have that extra tall that can cause match up problems for the opposition.

Particulary so because both O'Loughlin & O'Keefe play taller than they are.

I reckon we have one of the most potent multi faceted forward lines in the comp.

Just need the midfield to play to potential and find a CHB and we are in business...............

yeah, Doyle (or Jolly) as FF, and stick Schneider, Buchanan (or any other small forward) in the pocket and it looks alot more balanced.

I agree our forward line depth is fairly impressive, but i think the extra height in saddington down back helps alot if he is playing well.

There is nothing more boring to me about the Swans than seeing Saddington playing in the back line.
The guy just does not have the body or the agressivness for it (this has been proved over and over again in a number of seasons.
In the forward line however, he has shown that he has a certain finess , and skill that could be applied to the tune of say........ mmmm... oh.... 20 - 35 goals a year!

I have to agree. Saddington has been a good player down back, but I think he would be a lot better player up forward. He is a good mark, and reliable kick, and he was playing some great footy there up until heis knee went last yr.

He is also looking very fit and strong in the above pic.

                      FF; O'Loughlin Doyle/Jolly Shneider/Buchanen

Davis to play in the middle all day, do you reckon he could play HB?

Only if there is a KFC nearby.

Unless things have changed I don't think he would have the fitness or stamina to run around all day.

I like the idea of Saddo sharing FF with Micky. Micky on his own is two injury prone to hold down FF on his own throughout the season. The last two years he has limped into the finals a mere shadow of himself.
