Don't expect much from Wiz Cup

I had an article emailed to me today as part of a media clips service the Swans provide to Redbacks.

One of the articles is labelled as coming from the Daily Telegraph but I can't find it on their website to provide a link to here.

Essentially it's another pre-season fluff piece but specific things that may interest some are:

30 out of 34 players recorded a PB in the January 3km time trial.

Don't expect much from the Wiz Cup - it's not a priority

Crouch is pencilled in for a round 2 start

Schaubs is also doubtful for round 1, still suffering from foot soreness.

All other players are currently on target to be right for the start of the season.

I smell the acrid odour of hypocrisy, if indeed they are reproducing the articles.

I get the same clipping service. I didn't look on-line, but filled my time on a plane this morning reading the daily terror and the said article was there, abeit not easily found.

The Sydney papers are absolutely disgraceful with regard to the Swans and AFL .... Each day, I dash to the sports pages and rarely find anything, generally there's more likelihood of finding something in the real estate, social or sports gossip pages! I'd rather something a tad more meaningful!

Yep totally agree - for weeks the only news in the Sunday paper was about RyanO's mini makeover to turn him into a trendy fashinable young man! But hey, any footy news is good footy news, and I'm pleased to know Ryan can now schmooze it up anywhere in attire suitable to the event!

The Melbourne papers aren't much better when it comes to Interstate teams. The have a weekly rap on the Melb. Teams but nothing on the Istate teams.
