I would like to see footyhead bring an action in defamation against RWO or its posters. I can just see it now:
Footyhead v ROK Lobster, NMWBloods, sanecow, dendol & Ruda Wakening in the Supreme Court of NSW.
I'm not sure how someone anonymous can be defamed footyhead you drunk, moronic, Essendon loving toy boy of Eddie McGuire, cheersquad wannabe.Comment

One thing that you can't take away from Sheedy though is that he has won premierships with three different eras of Bomber team. That means his success cannot be attributed to him just inheriting an already strong list - as it could with, say, Malthouse at the Eagles or Matthews at Brisbane (and at Collingwood to a lesser extent).Originally posted by cruiser
I actually think that Sheedy is over rated as a coach. The Essendon team of the late 90s/early 00s was either one of the most overrated ("team of the century") or underachieveing teams ever. They certainly should have won more than one premiership with the players they had.
Also, the Bombers have managed to build and rebuild without ever sinking to rock bottom and stocking up with top draft picks.
The Bombers' and Sheedy self-promotion really gets on my nerves at times but it is hard to dispute his ability to build a top line squad.Comment

BTW - in terms of what I didn't like I was referring to the rabid, aggressive, violent dislike of opposition players and supporters.
Sometimes (many times?) it is a bit too over the top (as I recall a friend of a friend, who happened to be a Collingwood supporter, get beaten to a pulp in Spencer St after leaving a match at TS. A brother of another friend was beaten after a game at Optus Oval and now has permanent, but fortunately minor, brain damage).
That sort of attitude produces this sort of outcome.Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

You haven't lived in the area all your life to witness how a normal lot of people living in a beautiful area of Melbourne could turn into a race of people that you wouldn't wish on your worst enemy when they support the Bombouts.....
Karma has a way of coming back on these turds, as I was with a group of Swans supporters at The Royal in Essendon when we won the Preliminary Final against the Bombouts in 1996 and was also at O'Sullivans in Essendon with a Brisbane jumper on after the GF in 2001.

My dislike for other teams (specifically Essendon, but also North Melbourne) includes the cheersquad but does not extend to the general supporter. It is perhaps rabid, but neither aggressive nor violent (although I did wish an extended period of toe stubbing on Hird).rabid, aggressive, violent dislike of opposition players and supporters.
The only thing that can fix a "terrible bad" footy player is for him to play for Sydney. Lockett broke no more jaws, Schwatta lost his taste for human flesh and Bazza is now second only to Ghandi in his approach to non-violent protest.Comment

I think that conciousness, education,empathy and sanity are the only cures for violence.
But I will not entertain the idea of giving up my right to verbal self expression for the sake of appeasing puritans who have nothing better to do than get all upset over trivialities of language.
The best thing about the footy is the violence.
IE Physical contained on field, Verbal every where !
