But could we have some beefcake pics of Adam Schneider instead?
Occupational hazards:
I don't eat animals since discovering this ability. I used to. But one day the lamb I was eating came through to me and ever since then I haven't been able to eat meat.
Swans won (if not already mentioned in this thread). 90 odd to 60 or 70 odd, final score flattered the Bombers.
Quick thoughts
LRT: Much bigger. Looked coordinated. Got quite a few touches.
JMcV: Appeared to me to be the standout midfielder. Looked to show what we have been waiting for from him.
Schneider: Skinny! Bloody skinny!
Jolly: Worth the 1st round pick. Very, very mobile.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time
Thanks for that review. You must have read my mind. I was wondering how Jarrad McVeigh went, as well as LRT. Fro the Fox Sports report it sounded as though J.bolton was the best midfielder. Did Heath James play?

Good, very very good.
LRT and McVeigh could turn out to be the answers we need for CHB and the brake-away midfielder. Still its only one match and hopefully they can kept the form up.
Sorry Robbie- I didn't make a note of who did and didn't.
Heath James did play.
LRT went, I thought, very well... and did seem to spend a lot of the game as a key back. I couldn't get over how "skillful" he seemed.
I would have put McVeigh above Jude Bolton, but Jude always manages to get his name in the best some how. McVeigh looked comfortable at stoppages and was riding bumps more easily than last year. I'd expect him to start Round 1, he may have spent the whole game on the ball.
Tadhg looks a lot stronger.
Doyle appears to be in "first grab" marking mode again. Which is very, very good.

Although now I look at the Fox report they don't even list McVeigh in the best, so I might be viewing him through rose coloured glasses...

...or the twit writing the report knows SFA about football. Thanks stell for your impressions of the game. Hope it is the start of something big (LRT and skillful? How many beers did you drink?)

No no, I might know SFA too! I was looking for signs of players being comfortable with certain aspects that I thought they needed to improve... such as McVeigh riding bumps/tackles to get a handball out instead of forcing a stoppage.

Well, LRT appeared skillful compared to previous years! I drank no beers at the football, although I was drinking all afternoon.

It's funny how some players catch your eye. Last year I went up to York Park to see West Coast versus Hawthorn and to me David Wirrpunda was the stand out player. I was mesmerised by his ability to read the play and the time he had to deliver the ball. He didn't make the best players. Go figure.
