Reminds me of one young Paul Kelly. Look at those arms!!

And from what I saw, he is exceptionally strong and committed to getting in and under. Certainly someone to partner Jude and Kirky in the middle. And he is only 18.

Err. but a young Kelly was a skinny scrawny kid. he would been half the size of Moore at the similar age. And Moore has much better skills than Kelly had at the stage. Lets hope he gets a Go this year.

Yep Moore is a pure footballer (finally we have one) and not an athlete. Kelly was still a raw project at that age.

Alright I didn't mean THAT young. But in 94 he was still only 21-22? Moore just seems to have the jump on him, probably as a result of a more intensive footballing upbringing.

Moorey has always been a solid kid.He is quick off the mark probably as he is a top grade suburban cricketer. He has his head screwed on.Left school when in the under 16's at Langwarrin and went to uni.Not sure if he has finished his degree yet.Has a younger brother who apparantly has the goods as well.

Kel turned 25 in about July of 94.

Slow? Were you watching the same game? He is definitely not "slow". He may not be the quickest guy on the paddock, but off the mark he is fairly good. He has good skills and what seems like a really smart brain - Give the Kid a Run!!
                  - Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in a world they've been given, than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact, it's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration, it's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing!

                      Was impressed with Monty's arms!

Moorey looked good, decision making will only get better with time. Natural player who does it all well including shepherds etc!

Grundy was terrible! Needs another shot to prove himself as every touch was a shocker!

Dempster played with the straight back and confidence of an Adam McPhee!

                      Vogels looked good.

Was is just me or did everyone notice players in all games try and take on the opposition too much and handball into trouble lots and lots of times?

Agree on Grundy and his fumbles, but he was a top under 18 and what I liked about him was that he got to where the ball was at, moved ok and appears to read the play well.

His dropped marks could well have been caused by nerves. I am confident that as the season goes on he will improve dramatically and press for promotion to the main list next season.

It's interesting. Our rookie list is about at its strongest ever with alot of highly rated youngsters and alot of them will be pushing for that senior spot/s (Esp. Campbell) at the end of the year.

It will be a great battle for the fringe players on our senior list to see if they can be worthy of a spot next year, and that can only mean a good thing.

Im pretty sure I was watching the same game but maybe I watch different things to you.

Sure I'll give him a run, but Ive watched him once and didnt see anything that was a stand out thats what Im commenting on what I saw and as for comparing him to Paul Kelly as some have done - PLEASE!

I've been irritated since Satdy because Jarred Moore reminds of a former AFL player, and I just can't fix it in my mind.

What was the name of the Crows first captain?

Less inspiring . . . Grundy reminded me very much of Daniel Hunt.
