I really hope Roos has got another game plan tucked up his sleeve.

I really hope Roos has got another game plan tucked up his sleeve this year otherwise the umpires might make it very hard for the Swans to gain their much coverted place in the lower echalon of the AFL finals series.
May not be such a bad thing actually might wake a few people up.
Still don't like the AFL playing with the game too much though.

The new holding the ball rule is a shocker.

Don't mind some of the other rules for the Wiz Cup:
    • ruck circle
    • longer boundary line throwins
    • Super goals
    • Kickins immediately after behind
Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

I don't like the super goals, I hope it never becomes a feature in the regular season. I'm quite puzzled why they've kept it in the Wizard Cup for the past few years. I thought any rule changes made for the Wizard Cup were to gauge the implications of the change and the reactions of players and fans alike. If they aren't going to implement it in the regular season, I see no point continuing with it.

The crowd seems to like the supergoals as it adds a bit of extra fun and excitement.

Other rules have the potential to be introduced, like the ruck rule, the throw ins, the kickins, and the no mark if kicked backwards. All quite reasonable IMHO.

They should never ever introduce the super goals.
I will not be comfortable till they are removed from the wiz up.

The new 'Holding the Ball rule' and the inconsistency shown by the umpires on saturday were SHOCKING...

I agree with the new ruck rules and the boundary throw-ins, I think they are effectvie and have a positive impact on the game.

What I HATE is the new 'deliberate behind' rule - WTF! Why was that introduced??

*I would love the new supergoal rule even more if Schneids had not kicked the bloody post!!!*
And the man who started it, the Schneiderman, can kick his third for the quarter. And the swans are in the Grand Final!

My understanding is that the new ruck set-up is not a Wiz Cup special. Has it not been introduced for the season proper?

I haven't seen whether the ne ruck rules have been introduced for the H&A season, although I know they have been talking about it for a while.

The supergoals will never be introduced for the H&A season, but they are a bit of fun for the pre-season.

Yes I thought so too...last night they were talking about the long term effect on Jeff White in the ruck and that it will be interesting to note the effect on all ruckman by the end of the year.

I took that as a permanent rule change?

What crap - people cheer coz there side gets a big score. Those "supergoals" are an embarassment. There's a good way way of judging everyone's view.

Everyone whoe's team just got 9 points say 'aye'.

I'd like to see the introduction of 'super behinds'. And before cruiser gives us a list of who already has them, I'm talking 2 points for wayward shots outside 50...

My leagues umpires have been briefed on the change.

IIRC the 3 points for the deliberate behind (as opposed to punched through in a marking contest) came in at the same time as the 9 point goal from outside 50m.

                              I'm on the Chandwagon!!!
