The funny thing is, we are given so much more media from the players and coaches than ever before but very little of what is said is worth reporting.

Beleive it or not, but there are media people in SA that want to be able to interview players at half time and while they are sitting on the bench.

    WHAT A WASTE OF TIME.............

The players don't want to speak to you and even if they did they are not going to bother giving you any meaningful information for fear of it being twisted and used against themselves or the team.

At a conservative estimate their must be at least 60+ jurno's dedicated to covering footy Australia wide. All need to fill space and will print whatever drivel they can get their hands on. The coaches must just laugh themselves silly after giving their 20th interview for the week of fluff and then seeing it printed as back page headlines in the Herald Sun the next day.

Roosy is there to coach ie manage winning sides.

He is doing well with a 60% winning rate of games coached.
Now, compare that with the statistical best - Kevin Sheedy who rates close to 65% after 24 years of coaching.

The good news for Roosy is that even if you emulate Sheedy there will be plenty of supporters calling for your blood every year!
      Quill: I've killed the Phantom.
The Great Kabai Sengh: Join the club. We've all killed him over the years. He keeps coming back.

Some people do like to blow things out of proportion...

Anyway, DST is spot on, except I think there are actually more journos than that.
