    Big four return for Sydney

    The home side has included captain Stuart Maxfield, Barry Hall, Paul Williams and Jason Ball for their first match of the year.
    Brett Kirk, Jude Bolton, Matthew Nicks and Ryan O'Keefe have been rested as coach Paul Roos rotates his senior players in prepartion for their round one clash against Hawthorn.

      That's 28 named (as expected)....so assuming we play with ten on the bench every fit player will have had a go except for

      Also according to the SMH Kennelly injured himself at training (groin) and will probably miss as well.

        I read elsewhere that Brisbane still have to cut their squad of 26 down to 24, which would indicate that the Swans would have to do this too. It maybe that the journo was jumping to an erroneous assumption that teams for practice games have to be 24 but it suggests that not all the players listed will play.
