    Long Term Injured

With a mind as to what sort of opportunity some of the talented rookies will get to play in the early part of the season:

I was wondering whether Saddington and Sundquist are still technically on the long term injury list given that they havn't played in any of the games so far.

Will the likes of Clarke, Vogels, Potter etc get a game or will we have to wait for the inevitable tragic long term injury?

    Anyone know the answer?

I think we can at least have one nominated rookie because only Nicks is on the veteran's list. That means one of the rookies will be eligible to play seniors while still being a rookie. This was the situation with Bevan and Rogers last year (we had two because we didnt have anyone on the veteran's list).

Long term injury lists do not carry from one year to the next so they are not at present.

They can however be listed again in round one, but this will mean another 12 weeks on the sideline (minimum time you have to be on the LTIL once listed).

With both Saddington & Sundquist both needing to get on the field to push their claims they won't be listed on the LTIL for the sake of getting a rookie on the list to play.

As stated above we can however pre list a rookie becuase we are playing with one less veteran listed player.

        Thanks Folks.

I guess Vogels is leading in the race for the one spot at the moment. It will be interesting to see what happens.

Vogels looks useful, but I would imagine a defender would start favourite if possible?

I thought Vogels could play defense too?

I think we have enough back-up defenders as it is, just none are good enough at the moment. We don't have many back-up tall forwards though, for instance who would we play at CHF if Hall was out?

Goodes. Again. You know he would.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time
