LOL, he has not rated many teams hiighly so far, from the ones I've seen. WC here rate 3-8 finishes I think.

"My reservation about the Swans is their emphasis on defence.

Sydney averaged only 86 points a game and was the only team in the eight to kick fewer than 2000 points (1938).

The Swans need to be more adventurous. Back themselves to get the ball in quickly to Hall, O'Loughlin, Ryan O'Keefe and Davis.

That group contributed 166 goals. Imagine what the return would be if they had more chances to play one-on-one.
            "

            Agreed!

"It's an excellent outlook for the Swans."

I opened the paper with a little trepidation this morning, knowing that this article was going to be there.

I was very pleasantly surprised. Knowing Sheahan's form (he tipped Essendon to come top last year and Hawthorn to be top four), I'm not sure if it's a blessing or a curse... but it was fun to read.

On the last two seasons form, a prediction of 4-7 finish is hardly a brave call.

We're focusing on the tone more than anything. His prediction, I'd say, would be rooted in the assumption that many have that Brisbane, Port and St Kilda form a nearly inpenetrable top three.

Makes a fair point about he defence though. on paper that forward line looks potent but the output is lower than expected. Perhaps it stems from lack of quality mids getting it in there quickly.

It almost totally extends from that!

Talking about brokers, what about LRT as a Brownlow longshot. Looks like he will slot into CHB, and yes I know the last CHB to win a Brownlow was Gordon Collis (I think) about 40 years ago, but at 1000/1 not bad odds for a tall, blonde, atheletic player who has something about him and a catchy name.
