    Dempster named in the best...

OK I have read the link that indicates that Dempster was from the match report.

"BEST ? ...... Sydney: Dempster, Kirk, Buchanan, Nicks, Williams, Schneider"

And we all know that he was emergency quite a few times last year.

So will he be the player that rises to the occasion this year???

From the North Sydney oval game and the telstra stadium game he looked reasonable. could hold down a HBF position and release Kennelly up the field?

Schnider 2003, Bevan in 2004 and Dempster in 2005?

What do you think? I feel that Powelly might give him a run for that job?

So where would he play? On wing or in defence?

Dempster has obviously worked very hard over the pre-season and ,although it has only been practices, looks like he has improved on last years form.He has been persistant and deserves to be given a chance.

And with my $10 on Kennelly at $176 to win the Brownlow, I wouldn't mind that one bit

Reckon Dempster reminds me a bit of Ben Hart. If he plays with half the courage and brains of Ben, then we might have a good AFL player on our hands.

I wonder if Kennelly knows he is born winger like many on this site think.

Is there such a thing as a centre wing anymore, or are they just part of the midfield rotation? Maybe Scott West?

                            Dempster is due

                            Dempster is due

His effort last weekend in the "slugfest" would have done his chances no harm and he was singled out after the game by coach Paul Roos.
