    Nick Davis back on Saturday

Today's telegraph has an article on Nick coming back for the game in Newcastle. That he is going to try and prove Robert Walls wrong - "Robert Walls stated last year that we would never see Nick reach his potential". Nick has asked for media ban and Swans have backed him.
Nick has been running well and the Swans coaches are pleased with his improvement.
    Love those Swans

So if (when) we win the next 3 premierships, will we be in debt to RW for goading both Goodes and Davis over their 2004 performances? Who else should we be getting him to criticise?

What amazes me is that anyone would care what Walls says!

Also interesting to read in the Tele article that Nick Davis placed a media ban on himself with the "blessing of the club". I certainly do hope, Nick has a sensational 2005!

I will say this much for Walls - he was the only media expert I saw that picked the Swans to make the finals in 2003, when many of the so-called experts were putting the Swans down for the spoon.

Well given that Roosey said that MOL is a certainty for the 1st round but he doesn't want too many underdone players hinting that either Goodes or Davis will miss out, who do you think will it be? Goodes is more important but maybe does not regain touch as quickly as Davis so there could be a selection quandary.

Nick kicked 3 goals today and on that form I can't see why he won't play Round One. Remember we have the option to play some of our underdone senior players in Canberra next weekend (if they have a game that is) if we get permission from the AFL.

If both can contribute and are reasonably fit then he may still play them both. They'll both be given another run for the reserves team next week you would think (assuming AFL permission).

Also may depend on whether O'Keefe's injury today was significant or not.

                  Wow, that's a big call!

Unless they suffer some new injury, I'd be staggered if either of Goodes or Davis are left out in round 1?

On today's effort at Newcastle, they both will play Rd 1. Probably get another run in ACT next week

Its bloody excellent to have Nick Davis back playing good football. If Nick Davis has an injury free, attitude positive season, our entire forward line is going to scare the hell out of opposition defences.

From the Newcastle match comments thread I say Nick is a certainty. It sounded like Goodes was lacking game time with some fumbles etc....but I doubt he'd be left out.
