unfortunately this equates to the boring option for us fans

As much as I dislike it (the premise of not trying to win every match , that is) Id live with it if the result is some silverware in September
"Davis...Davis has kicked 2...he snaps from 40...dont tell me, dont tell me, hes kicked a goal....unbelievable stuff from Nick Davis, can you believe this, he's kicked 3 final quarter goals and Swans are within 3 points..."

while we didnt carry the ball as much in 2004 when compared to 2003, we still used the same tactic - draw a tackler and pass off. this is IMO where goodes as ruck-rover would suit our style of play, in that he can not only draw a tackler but be tackled and still manage to fire off an accurate handball to a player running past.

i can remember one instance, last year, when kirk (IIRC) got pinged for HTB when Ball was in close proximity. it came unstuck as Ball didnt have the legs to fly past and receive the handball, confusion ensued and HTB was the result. people on here at the time, me included, thought that Ball should've done a lot more (he shouldve) but maybe, just maybe it was the gameplan that was at fault and not Ball!

I agree totally, and whinge about it to anyone in ear shot every bloody time I see one of our guys nailed in our own 50 with two or three standing around him. Its simply not good enough and needs to be improved.

We tackle great, but get tackled just as great.

As to the actual post topic... I am disappointed... if they had rated us 14th-16th it would make me much happier
