    Buchanan, the next big thing?

heres another interesting comment as well:
A super-fit Nick Davis also had his first game and impressed with three goals.

I do think that Amon has the potential to be a very good player, in the forward line or in the midfield, and i would love to see him step up.

However; i would take everything that James MacSmith writes with an enormous rock of salt

tough choice, dunno what to say about that, but i'm very biased towards bucky so i won't make a judgement but to say that bucky had a great 04 (and bevan also). But one conclusion i can make is that Bucky is the real deal.

IMO, buccy made more of a contribution to the team as he played in the centre and created some clean disposal out of packs. bevan played back pocket and while he looks promising, back pockets aren't as handy as players who have clean disposal out of a pack...

Well he dominated the 2002 VFL GF for sure, and was IMO BOG despite the loss. However, its been a long road for him from there to showing similar levels of ability at the AFL level. For his and our sake, I sure hope he has a fantastic year and finally shows the AFL world what he is really capable of.

I thought Bucchanon had quite a reasonable year last year. I have a very good feeling about him, something about him seems to suggest potential starv quality. Then again, I sometimes think that I'm Doris Stokes.

How good's Buchanan? Well, we're having a baby in August or thereabouts and I'm thinking of calling him Monty.

                    I'm serious.

Surely you have a warped sense of humour. Monty for a kids name. What if it's a girl?

Give the kid at least one break. It will clearly have no say in who it barracks for.

The thing that Buchanan brings is a willingness to bust his gut to do the one percenters, some of his chasing and tackling was the spark to ignite others.

Finest asset is his ability to shake off tackles, R.Harvey style
