    Where to stay in Sydney?

Coming to Sydney (from WA) for the 7 May clash vs Essendon. Suggestions for appropriate places to stay would be welcome taking into account transport, getting to TS etc.
Hello WA Supporters club. Any feedback would be welcome. Is anyone else fromWA going ?

There are two hotels (Ibis and Novatel) within the Olympic complex right next door to TS (and the only open bar after the game). Not the absolute cheapest places but not too bad I'm told. Around $120 I think. Depends on what your budget is.

But get in quick - there'll be a LOT of Bomber fans flying north

P.S. This link gives some more info.....

I'll be in Perth for the Eagles game.

I haven't stayed here myself (I have a bed in a lovely home in the Quakers Hill area), but this motel comes highly recommended by some Melbourne girls.
They pick you up at the airport, and later drive you to the game. (and I would guess do the reverse as well)

On the other side of Bicentennial Park (the park next to Telstra Stadium) is a litlle suburban pub (clean and renovated) called the Concord West Hotel, approx one roadie (stubbie of beer) walking distance from the Stadium. Here you can get a cold beer and a decent feed (plus accomodation) at non inflated prices and one can also get a beer after the game. Check out the review here http://www.whereisthepub.org/content/view/93/51/
. Last year I began to notice more and more Swans supporters there before and after each game.
