Go Crouchy. I agree with you Scott, the International Rules is an absolute waste of time. How can anyone take a game seriously when then highlight is a pitch invasion by a dog?

Just off topic a bit (but from the article), I'm getting a little weary of the 'late' Andrew Schauble. Not saying he's not good at his job -- he really is. But full-back is too important a position to be filled by a part-timer. If we can't groom a more regular FB from our list (James or LRT), we really need to go after one at the end of the season.
To all those people who waited 72 years to see a South Melbourne/Sydney Swans premiership HERE IT IS!!

I would dearly love Crouchy to get the record. Round 1 is Hawthorn. We could pick Crouchy and have him play off the bench to gain match fitness, giving players like Spriggs and McVeigh a chance to show their wares.

I think we should buy him some Meccano so he can build replacement body parts as needed.

it would be nice to see him play, but i hope he doesnt get a game cos its hawthorn..... that would prove to me we dont take lower teams seriously.....(probably why we struggle against them so often)

He's not a superstar, so if he's not fit he shouldn't play.

Didn't realise crouchy was already 27, but i guess he's always been under the radar with his whole football presence.

Good luck to him though, but i wouldn't play him if he was only 50-60% fit.

Spoke to Crouchy last night at Guernsey presentation - looks fit and seems ready said he plays on Saturday and hopes that proves it.
              Love those Swans

Not worth the risk in any way shape or form IMO.

Seem to remember another bloke a few years that had complications requiring bone grafts that took an awful long time to recover.

SYDNEY Swans' indestructible midfielder Jared Crouch, who has not missed a game with injury since 1996,

Not Bad,so he never missed a game from 96 to 98 but he debuted in 98,fair effort

I think it'd be a killer for Crouch to beat the Murphy record but not if it will pressure him. I don't want him to do it for the sake of it. Nor should he do it just for the record while he's unfit. Even if he doesn't beat the record, he's still the same player, right?
