    Tadhg's goal

I know there wasn't a huge amount to get excited about this afternoon's performance, but - in an effort to stop us getting too depressed - felt I had to wax lyrical about Tiger's goal. Definitely the highlight of the afternoon for me - superb combination of pace, awareness (the way he tapped the ball on rather than trying to take possession) and composure at the end to make sure he steadied and actually kicked it through the big sticks.

For me a goal like that beats any number of David King flukey soccer kicks hands down.

It was a ripper wasn't it? The best goal I've seen from a Swan since Robbie Ahmat's run. I thought he was in trouble when he almost ran straight into a defender, but he turned well and slotted it straight through.

Great goal, but not as good as King's - the arsey goal always wins.
        Once was, now elsewhere

But why is it that his brain only gets into gear in the last quarter.

Maybe he should start on the wing and bloody well stay there instead being asked to play in defence, where we all know he is not worth a sausage.

          Frustarted, you betcha.

Goal of the week for me, simply because it was a combination of skill, brain and effort, rather than sheer luck from David King.

When asked at the after match how he felt after kicking it, just the one word from Tadhg - 'rooted'.

            I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

What a goal!!! Ran around em, showed some gaolic skill and was able to steady and not be fazed by the pressure of the kick. Great run, great quarter, great game, great future

team-lifting stuff it was...the rest of the tem should have swelled another 10 percent on that and gone on to get even closer to the crows... but I thought those two roo soccer goals were my goals of the week, and tops, that 60m whack from Kingie - it was as deliberate as any set shot; he knew exactly what he was doing, even though a little luck was involved....
"Davis...Davis has kicked 2...he snaps from 40...dont tell me, dont tell me, hes kicked a goal....unbelievable stuff from Nick Davis, can you believe this, he's kicked 3 final quarter goals and Swans are within 3 points..."

seriously though, in past years the arsey goals dont get all that much recognition... for instance did anyone see aker's "goal of the year" from last year? i didnt think it was great at all but he did work extremely hard for it as kennelly did

king's goal is phenomonal but he didnt work that hard for it, whereas kennelly had to...

for instance when ahmat got goal of the year he worked hard and IIRC aker kicked an absolutely impossible goal from the boundary line, ahmat got the nod...

when tadhg's kick for goal left his boot i thought that it had missed, and i was so disappointed that all that effort went to waste, then it curled in!!! ROAR!

Four Quarters please, Tiger, or does Roosy need to put him in the play more?

Walking with Tiges across the ground after the game I congratulated him on the great goal and told him it was the highlight of the game. His very aussie reply in an irish accent was, " I was rooted after it! "
