    Play Crouchy

Let the boy play, he's earned it

If he's good enough to play for Australia six months ago, then surely a fit Crouch is good enough to play for the Swans.

That's the question tho, is he fit? I say yes - he got through a practice game on the weekend without any problems, so I say he's ready. Go the streak!

I would suggest that it is in the Swans' interest to play him if he is reasonably fit.

ie: if he isn't 100%, and he can still fill a role then it will be beneficial for the club for publicity etc.
But where does the line get drawn in this respect?

You'd think if he can do more then anyone else who is omitted then he gets a run.
Probably not a good idea to play him if there is someone who is able to offer more.

if he says his ready i would think about it, cos i think crouch would put the team before himself.

He wants to play on Sunday - is fit and would be better than Spriggs - Spriggs needs more work
            Love those Swans

The record shall be broken at the Gabba in Round 3 and coincide with Kirky's 100th game. Sweet.

Hope he does play, but if he is not 100% the record attempt shouldn't come into consideration, play someone that is fit. It is a team game afterall.

No point risking a reliable player for some silly record that only we will care about.

I dont think there is any risk in that respect, otherwise he wouldn't have played on the weekend. The question is whether his presence will damage the team, especially considering he is a defensive midfielder who usually shuts down the best small forward-midfielder from the opposition.

Who would he normally play on this weekend if fit? Mitchell? Williams? Crawford? Vandenburg?

Fortunately Hawthorn dont exactly have a dynamic small forward combination so he can be used on a lesser player without much harm to the team if he is not fit.

In the article it said that he played in defense and through the midfield and did well so i guess that means he is reasonably fit but yeh i think he will play if he pulled up ok after the weekend in the reserves
