    Paul Roos Team

This is the year the young Swans need to step up, and I mean really step up.
I veiw this year as the first true mature home coming of the team that has been grafted off the 1996 minor premeirship team.
just thinking abou that 1996 team,
I really think that if you include the hype and media attention that grabbed Sydney's attention through the grand final appearance and the breaking of the 1300th goal, one man was intricatley involved with both of these things.

So I am going to call it the "Plugger" era.

Well actually I 'm going to call it the Kelly / Plugger Era, because I think that that was something in Paul Kelly's personality which leant it's self to the spiritual maturing of the team which spontaneously happened in 1996 .
When a "SYDNEY" Swans team found the ability within their own culture to matifest and bring forth a strong determined and talented team who were good enough to get to the Grand final, and who were garnerd into a spiritual union with thecity of Sydney and the people of Sydney.
    Kelly was there.
This year there is no one besides Mathew Nicks and Michael O'Loughlin who was in that team of players lead by Rodney Eade.
This year for the first time we see a thoroughly drilled a thoruoghly prepared and a mostly groomed by tagged by "Paul Roos" Team. This is Paul Roos's team!

This is Paul's year to show us what we have been witnessing these three years. We now must be privy to the horrible pornographic nature of the business.
How good is this team, How good would it be if we could ride it all the way to the ,ahhh , all theee ahh waaay to the graaaaand finaaaaaal' llllllll aaaaaaawwwwwwww yeeeeaagggggggghhhhhh!!!

It is time brethryn, time to see this team stand up and give an unequivicale account of it's self.
If they do and Ross can take us to a grand final and win the cup, the period 1996 to the year we win the flag under Roos, will at the very least become known as the Era of Plugge/r Kelly/ Roos. It would be the absolute glorification of this club in this city, and it would be the glorification of our wonderful game before it can totally be destroyed by the no-biff mafia within the AFL.
We have all put a lot into this team.

They better bloody well beat the bloddy Hawks!
    And convincingly too!

Thank you and good luck for Season 2005

Ornithologist eh! I wondered what made you tick Footyhead.

One could say that you are quite often "off with the birds" (feathered variety).

But being so learned in the field of footballing birds I would hope you have some knowledge of the ancient 1933 Bird, and whether there is some resemblence to the modern day bird to which you so often refer.

Is there something in the genes that will produce a throw back that will somehow thrust the modern bird to supremecy over all others it duels with in 2005.

Oh wise one come forth with such wisdom and enlighten all those who hang on everyone of your words.

        I under estimated sorry.

May the Sydney members show more power and authority in ripping the club forever from the clutches of Melbourne Mythologists.
Especially in the face of premiership victory, Should in eventuate.

        Long live the SYDNEY Bloods!

Sorry - I'm going to be a pedant again

            Stuart Maxfield & Leo Barry

Also Crouch and Mathews were on the senior list in 1996, but hadn't played a game yet

I guess I'd better stop supporting then - I should find a team in my own city, or better yet my own suburb, or perhaps my own street...
