    observation from the Churchill

.williams as our key on-baller was double tagged out of the game ,as he was last week
.the opposition are aware of our on-ball and centre weakness and remove our strength
.jude tried hard but truely lacks any skill (not alone here) and continues to be pingegd for 'bottling up the ball' and cost us two goals
.our fringe 'talls' ,Ball AND schauble, are under done or lacking commitment
.nick davis either needs fitness or a ticker
.goodes had one good quarter and then' excelled' in taking Smart out of the game.....a waste of two talents and the Swans were the loser...i assume Adam was tired or injured
.leo barry and Warfe are not good enough to play key defensive positions
.why keep Ablet on the bench for most of the game ?when he came on he was put on Smart and was ok
.maxfield is either trying too hard or is carrying an injury.
.stevens ,even though he was only on for too a couple of minutes, was HOPELESS.....too slow to make a decision (not alone)
    .ADELAIDE were too skillfull .

    Observations from the Brewongle concourse.

We were slaughtered at the stoppages
    We rarely crumbed the packs.
We won only a few contested high marks all game.
Saddo played his worst game ever for the Swans. Best suited to a half back flank.
Even though Adam Goodes and Ball did some reasonable around the ground work we have a major problem with our ruck work at centre bounces and throw ins.
While we have some big names in our forward line we lack bite and the kicking for goal is sometimes woeful.
I have always been reluctant to criticise individual players but we have players who will never improve and it is time to persist with younger players.
I can not understand why Ablett and Stevens between them spent 5 minutes on the paddock. It was not as though we were actually winning .
Surely a place can be found for Mullet Powell. He can take a reasonable grab and has a real go.
Fixter and Seymour when fit could provide some needed toughness.
We might be looking at some top draft picks at the end of season.
