The only way the Swans will get better is if more is expected of them.
At last a member of the Sydney media letting the Swans and public know....

From the position Sydney has come from in the late 80's/early 90's to where they are now, is why they have been seen as succesful in some eyes IMO.
Persoanlly while I want to see Sydney finally capture that holy grail, regardless of results I will always support them, I am not one to jump on which ever band wagon has the most success.
Also in the eyes of Sydney sporting public/media, they are seen as more of a curiosity and as such for the most part results aren't scrutinised as much such as in Melbourne,Perth,Adelaide.
Hence not as much pressure on when the results aren't there.Premiers 09,18,33,05

"If the definition of success is the premiership, then there are 15 failures and only one success every year. That's not true. But, having said that, if the Swannies keep knocking on the door like they have been, then you'd like to think that eventually someone will open the bastard."
Good article overall.Comment

I usually ignore your statements, but that is plain out stupid, you certainly want players to be playing with all they have and to hurt after a loss, but I will be stuffed if I ever want to end up like the deranged soccer nations where people fear for their lives.Comment

I watched the news tonight because I expected FH and his fellow Saints to be waiting for the team on their arrival at the airport with rotting fish and half eaten fruit.
How can he expect us Swans fans to do the same when he won't do the same when his side losesOnce was, now elsewhereComment
