    Doyle, Magic and Schauble update

    In today's SMH, quote:

Sydney will learn today if ruckman Stephen Doyle will be fit to face the Kangaroos on Saturday, but Michael O'Loughlin (knee) is a week or two away from fitness.

Nothing on Schauble though. Anyone know anything?

Just checked the official Swans site but it is hopelessly out of date - posted injury list is dated 19 March.

The day we get our best information regarding the Swans from Sydney press, is the day that the Swans will begin to be a Sydney club.

Official site says Doyle out 3 - 4 weeks, I am assuming this means SOG gets to debute

Sons of players would then be

              SOM
              SOR
              SOK
              SOC
              and
              SOG
You don't ban those who supported your opponent, you make them wallow in their loserdom by covering your victory! You sit them in the front row. You give them a hat! Toby Ziegler

North play pretty tall in the forward line, so I would definitely expect a taller player to get the call. I hope "SOG" gets the run. Although he looked great on Sunday, I would hate Saddo to break down through being called up too soon.

Re these initials, rumour has it that ROK has changed his name and is now running AMOK.

Very clever Sir Reginald. Didn't realise we had so many "Sons of ..." on our list.

The worst part is I have very vivid memories of all "Sons of" fathers playing. Damn I suddenly feel old.

im hoping we win this weekend

im sure everyone remembers that shattering weekend last year

from what i remember in the final quarter roos were down but laidley placed all tall players in the forward ranks and thats when we got assraped, ignoring the fact with wally etc

i will never rest until we beat the roos (again) and decisively

Ah no - listen to the font of all knowledge, Sir Reggi, and you'll know you can't ignore that fact...

Update re Mick from an item that appeared today on the club's official website:

Meanwhile, full-forward Michael O'Loughlin is in the last phase of his running program and is expected to return to training next week with the hope of playing in round four.
