If it's a midfielder Ablett will be in the mix. Reports suggest that he has been outstanding in the reserves for the past two weeks, plus I have a feeling that the Swans are expecting good things from him this year.

When hasn't he been good in the 2's, I think Ablett has been given more than a fair chance to prove himself is this is 5th or 6th season? I think he will make a top shelf VFL player but is out of his league in the AFL.
Yes, because Dempster was on the list last year and never played. Spriggs can wait!
Vicky Pollard: Oh my god I so can't believe you just said that this is like the time I threw Anita's nokia in the canal as a joke and she's like you have well got to buy me another one and I'm like get over it and then Paul came over who's adopted anyway and started saying that I fancy Mark Bennett but oh my god just because I have sex with someone doesn't mean I fancy them.
Norff's forward line is fairly even, but it isn't the most potent in the league. Could be an ideal opportunity to blood Dempster.
Start him HB-Flank, rotate Tige & C-Bolt through the midfield? They should both be fit, fast & experienced enough to be defensive or attacking midfielders as necessary.
To all those people who waited 72 years to see a South Melbourne/Sydney Swans premiership HERE IT IS!!

I personally think two changes should be made. Along with "Donkey" Doyle's unfortunate ankle injury, Mathew Nicks should make way for Jarrod Moore and Spriggs should come in for Doyle. An extra two midfielder type players are required because of the heat factor and also because the Kangaroos start the season so well with an injury free (all teams should be close to injury-free at this stage of the season, what with six months to get over minor and major operations !!) midfield.
Either those two changes or we bring back Ed Considine and Andrew Bomford as midfield superstars.......In the backyard at Mum's anyway....
Although, in a perfect world I would rather Schauble, Saddington and O'Loughlin returning or already playing.....
Please, please, please Roosy, just don't bring back Nic Fosd***head !!!!
Well somebody told me, You had a boyfriend, Who looks like a girlfriend,That I had in February of last year, It's not confidential, I've got potential

Your argument is flawed. You would bring in Moore and Spriggs, but none of Saddo, MOL, or Schuable are midfielders in this less than perfect world.
If the heat is a factor and we need players who can run all day, why would you propose to bring in 3 players who aren't match fit? And why would you bring in a kid in Moore who would be rotated off the bench and used in spurts in the midfield anyhow?

All midfielders are rotated off the bench these days "anyhow", regardless of years of experience or a first gamer, and in my perfect world Schauble, O'Loughlin and Saddington would be match-fit regardless - I knew I should have been more specific with my perfect world statements......
In the real world I went for two midfield types as, explained in the first thread by myself, the Kangaroos have midfield matchwinners as opposed to forward matchwinners therefore, a backman such as Dempster (who was spoken about on this thread as replacing Doyle) would not be required.
In the perfect world, the likes of a match fit Schauble, O'Loughlin and Saddington (playing forward) would more than compensate for the Kangaroos midfield strength.

Wasn't this the first round 1 since Roos has been in charge that someone did not get their debut?
I would to prefer to see a debut - Dempster or Willoughby perhaps. But for some reason we got Spriggs in... he probably deserves a few matches to see his potential worth to the team. I guess he will be more important when Maxi and Willo are retired.
At this point I guess that Roos will play around with the side a little for the Adelaide match in round 4 dependent on Adelaide's form.
