Cheap $49 each way fares to Bris but only for another 30 minutes

Quick! Vrigin are offering cheap $49 each way (including taxes) fares to Brisbane, which includes the weekend Sydney are playing. I just checked times and there are still seats available Sat arvo that would get you to the game ontime. Unfortunately, I have another commitment that day and cant go

Nope, that's now plus taxes, etc. I was looking for the cheapest up on Friday and back Monday and it totals $228 (including $49 back on Monday that becomes $79 with taxes).

The total of taxes/surcharges on a return trip in and out of Sydney is about $70. So add that to the stated fare prices and two by $49 plus $70 makes approx $170 return! Plus accomodation.

Between 1pm and 2pm today, you could buy a return ticket from Sydney to Brisbane flying Virgin, departing on the arvo of 9 April and returning 10 April for $98 in total ie including all taxes. Keep an eye on the Virgin site as they have differnet lunchtime spevcials every day and this one may come up again. Likewise specials between Sydney and Melbourne

1-2pm, is that Happy Hour thing they've got going? I knew it had to be more than 98$ return. It's still expensive. I'm waiting for another Sydney game to fly to.
