    Ablett

I reckon Luke was one of the best for the Swans today.

NOG would be among the best of the Swans today, just a pity the majority just wanted to go through the motions instead of showing some heart and pride

Well my hunch about him tagging Wells was right and he did a pretty god job. Could be a bit quicker with his disposal but that can be said of almost all Swans today.

Just getting this bloke back on the agenda.

He comes in after a short preparation after a first up good performance in the 2's. He puts one of the AFL's recognised rising stars out of business.

He is hard, looks like he may have picked up on his pace, so why in the hell wouldn't you put him into the centre bounces so we might just get a few more clearances. He kicks well but the way he is used means he doesn't get to kick the agot too often.

He must be a better chance at centre bounces as he is much stronger than Bolton so won't be pushed off the ball easily. Also not bad with the hands. If you watch the centre bounces carefully, the opposition easily puts Bolton out of the contests. He just doesn't get his hands near the footy, unless of course he has no idea of how to play centre bounces, which is a possibility.

Maybe we do this also, but the opposition always seems to have a player about 10 metres outside the square at CHB to block our scrubby clearances. If Ablett gets hold of it at least he can roost the pill.

        Put him in the guts.

Ablett is an obvious choice to step into the midfield.

What I have always liked about Luke is that he has great fundamental skills. Kicks very well with either foot and is a strong contested mark overhead. He does seem to look a little lost around the middle of the ground at times, I like him being given tagging roles so that he can have someone lead him to the ball for a season or two. Obviously did wonders for Kirky, imagine if Brett could kick either side like Luke!

Just imagine our backline having Ablett and McVeigh as marking targets floating around the middle with O'Keefe and Davis pushing up off the HFF! They'd actually have an option every now and then to kick out of defence instead of needing to try to run it every time. Although then Leo might start bouncing every 2 metres instead of every 4 if his runs were shorter (has to meet that bounce quota in his contract).
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

            Afternoon all,

All I ask of this forum is that no one praises the work of NOG. H has been on our list for 3-4 years, every year they say he shows a lot of promise, and every year, he play average bland football, possibly on the brink of delisiting, and then he has a half decent finals series to keep his $100k paypacket.

Not a bad job if you can get it!!

ablett was very good, buchanan was good at getting the ball but not too good at disposing it.
