    Paul Roos team 2

Just want to remind people that the Buck for this flooding schizophrenic team, stopps firmly at the foot of Paul Roos.
He should back himself and the team, cos if he lets that kind of defensive insecure crap go on for long, he will not be around that long himself.
The game plan he inherited from Eade has out worn it's use by date.
Time to get some better ideas Paul, like playing agressive direct committed football.

FFS it is only rnd 2 we are 1-1 129.2%.

We lost more games b4 at the start of the season and have still made the finals.

Absolutely spot on. The best thing that has been said on here for a long, long while. It was a carbon copy of the way we played under Eade.

Oh we'll make the finals alright. But we're not improving.

I was pulling my hair out watching that game..........that last quarter we seemed to run out of gas then I remembered we have had a very slow start to the season. Having so many players out in our pre-season hasn't helped so they're probably not fit enough to play 4 quarters.
Last week against the Hawks we coasted and didn't have to do to much against a team that are probable wooden spooners this year
Hopefully our fitness will improve in the coming weeks and we'll be able to run out four quarters of football
A bit more committmant from players like Bevan,Schneider,C Boton,Buchanon and O'Keeke by throwing themselves into the contests is needed.

Absolutely. We lost a game. We probably should have won it. But would rather see performances like that at the start of the year while players are still working their way into the season than later on when everything should have gelled.

                    Things to be glad about:

                    a) at least it wasn't Hawthorn or Richmond (yet!)
                    b) we know, from past experience, that we're just as likely to come out next week and play a blinder against the Lions. Indeed, probably more likely to than had we thumped the Roos.

How could you possibly put C.Bolton in that list? He was our best player today. Thought Buchanan was good too, apart from his disposal.

I'm not sure it's fair to ask that from B2, Buchanan and Bevan from this game. They were three of the more committed players, I thought, even if their execution sometimes left something to be desired.

Ok so it's probably the teams fitness we did seemed to stop to a walk in the last quarter and why did we ever swap Grant for Schwass

B2 was a stand out. Buchy and Bevan both had a dip but their skills and decision making left a lot to be desired at times, but they were not alone. Why the team continues to force hand passes to players under pressure is beyond me. There is, at times, a real lack of vision (in the eye sight sense) of what is going on up the ground. Time and again Hall and Davis found space only to be ignored...

Footyhead has a point though about 2 teams. And it was the 2's who turned up today.

                              Er... because Grant wanted out?

The Swans had no choice in that trade and probably did well to hold their nerve and secure Schwass in return. The Roos were trying to offload Allison to us instead - who we picked up a year or so later anyway, for the cost of a very late draft pick.
