I totally agree with you JF. I was a big Schneider fan in 2003 but now I think he has been given enough chances and he should be dropped this week. Maxfield too. They are both passengers at the moment.
Occupational hazards:
I don't eat animals since discovering this ability. I used to. But one day the lamb I was eating came through to me and ever since then I haven't been able to eat meat.
I think he's as fine as they come but today he slacked off a bit. Wait, didn't we all slack off?
Vicky Pollard: Oh my god I so can't believe you just said that this is like the time I threw Anita's nokia in the canal as a joke and she's like you have well got to buy me another one and I'm like get over it and then Paul came over who's adopted anyway and started saying that I fancy Mark Bennett but oh my god just because I have sex with someone doesn't mean I fancy them.
We need a goal sneak in the team - keep him in the forward pocket. Let him get back to being the player he was in 2003. He is failing because he is being put in the midfield. He is obviously not up to it (at least at this point).

I agree. He might be too soft for the midfield, but Ihe should be played in the pocket. Whilst we're comparing him, Buchanan is infinitely better at the hard-ball gets and clearances (he demonstrated a few of these against the Kangas) but I think Schneider has more of an eye for goal (some have argued to the point of selfishness, but thats debatable).
If he is being judged mainly on his midfield performances, then I'd definately have Fosdike or Spriggs ahead of him now. I remember Fosdike playing up forward a few times last year and kicking a few good goals too.
A loss like the one we saw yesterday should never go unpunished. There were some very poor performances by a few Swans out there.
Granted - he played @@@@ on the weekend and no one can defend that.
But I reckon we are confusing 'backing himself' with selfishness. He likes to back himself to get a goal - why not he has all the tricks, but at the moment the form just isnt there.
As for people saying he was soft last year - I think 3 major injuries would be enough to make people a little soft.
I reckon he puts his head over the ball - did quite a bit last week and got belted about.
But I would agree that moving him to the midfield, at the moment, (maybe later in his career) was a bad decision. Move him back to forward where he can do what he does best - score goals.
Oh and Bon - spot on - they were ALL soft!
And the man who started it, the Schneiderman, can kick his third for the quarter. And the swans are in the Grand Final!

Paul Haselby 'backed him' and blazed away in the final minute of the game in Tasmania. He didn't do the team thing. and the Dockers lost a match they never should have.
Schneider went for a similar shot yesterday. Not only did he miss, but more importantly he did not do the TEAM thing and look for a player in a better position than him.
We got Spriggs. Give him a go against the Lions.

I've never thought of Schneider as soft, but he's not playing well enough to hold his spot at the moment. And I'd have to say that Buchanan is on very thin ice still . . . his disposal was one of the main reasons the Kangaroos were still in the game at half time.
Time to bring in Spriggs and Fosdike I think, and add some real pace into the Swans game. And pray that O'Loughlin gets fit soon!

We certainly do - but Schneider is not a particularly good kick for goal. I wince at the memory of his dashing runs down the ground, with five or six bounces - to kick a behind...
And as for Carlton lair - I was thinking of the list that Pagan cleaned out.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)
Schneider kicked some wonderful goals in 2003. His skills caught us by surprise. But it seems to me that he still wants to be the star and it just isn't working. He should take a leaf out of Bazza's books - he only became the champion of today when he became a team player for us.
I don't think Schneider is soft but given a choice between passing off to a player in a better position or going for the speccy, he'll always choose the ego shot. He's going to have to grow out of that - and I'm talking within a few matches - or he'll be a wasted talent that we may wish to trade to another team that is harder on him.

Surely the coaches must have identified this in his training regime and practice matches ?
If not they must see it now, as many on RWO have.
So he must now be coached accordingly and only picked to be in the team when he can fulfill his obligations.
IE become a team orientated player.
He probably lacks the "C" word at the moment. He suffered a nasty injury, just as he was starting to excite the crowds last year. He has not been the same since. As soon as he has Confidence in his body holding up, he will start to show the form he had, and we know he is capable of.
Remember this is only his 3rd year, and 2003 was one out of the box for a first year player.
