It's a job for timekeepers - they manage the clocks.
As for players in each zone, the on-field umpires can keep an eye on that - shouldn't be too hard with three umpires.
If this was possible, why is it that the centre umpire requires a call from one of the guys on the corner of the centre square if one team has too many players inside the square?
and that's when the game (and umpires) is static.Visit my eBay store -

so the umpire should be counting heads instead of watching the game?

Only the FF and FB should be allowed in the goal square, the defense should not be allowed in the attacking 50, the forwards should not be allowed in the defensive 50, only the centre is allowed in all three zones! Advantage, contact!Comment

Huh? One of the guys on the corner of the square is one of the three field umpires. So all I am saying is one of those guys will simply occasionally glance around and ensure there are 2 players of each side in the other part of the ground.
During open play, an umpire too buys counting heads at one end of the ground is not able to focus on general play.
As an aside, if the ball was in the forward 50, and a counting error is made in the defensive 50 which has absolutely no impact on the contest, do you want to see a penalty given so that the ball is transferred 100m or more suddenly giving the defending team a shot on goal from their forward 50 arc?Visit my eBay store -

For this type of indiscretion (assuming the count is correct) the free would take place where the ball is.Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

Well for one thing they don't make nearly as many mistakes as others...and for another the very bloody thing you want in congestion is to dish it off quickly, which Bucky does to very good effect. You have picked on possibly the two players with the least reason to be criticised in the whole on ball army of 12.
McVeigh is not given enough game time to get comfortable.
rubbish they both looked to dish off a several key moments to people under pressure instead of kicking it. But they are both young and will learn, i was merely stating they need to have more confidence in their abilities, because they are both very talentedTheres not much left to sayComment
