    The wash up

After a Rd 2 loss, away from home, the following seems to be consensus:

The coach needs to go, or revolutionise his approach to football and life in general.

The captain needs to go. It has been suggested that his best role may be as a runner.

We need the much maligned Fosdike, Saddington, Fixter, Ablett and Spriggs back in the seniors.

Despite all this, we are a good chance to beat Brisbane in Brisbane next week.

We don't deserve our 'fickle supporters' tag.

And what about changing those damn colours? I got pie sauce on the white bit of my members cap yesterday. It wouldn't show if we had the Hawks colour scheme.

And no I don't know how I got pie on my hat. Dipping my head in despair is one possibility.

Though beating the Lions next week may appear to represent pie in the sky.

You need a red cap - sauce doesn't show up on that. Neither does the blood after stabbing yourself repeatedly after watching our games...

I prefer last year's hat to the one they've given out this year.

            Re: The wash up

            My wash up:

The coach doesnt need to revolutionise his approach, he just needs to show more faith in his talented forwards and tell the boys to kick the damn thing long to them.

The captain is struggling, and needs to have a dramatic reversal of form in the next 3-5 weeks.

Guys like Dempster deserve a run in the seniors to reward him for prolonged good form in the ressies.

We've got some depth, so if a guy is not pulling his weight in the seniors, its time to give someone else a go.

And yes, we probably are a chance to beat the lions next week.

When Paul Roos retires from coaching, he is going to coach a position on the field. (I forgot what position i.e ruck).
Vicky Pollard: Oh my god I so can't believe you just said that this is like the time I threw Anita's nokia in the canal as a joke and she's like you have well got to buy me another one and I'm like get over it and then Paul came over who's adopted anyway and started saying that I fancy Mark Bennett but oh my god just because I have sex with someone doesn't mean I fancy them.

my wash up is that its round 2....was a stinky loss, but i dont think it matters too much. I am not here to help the team just support them. I dont have the new game plan i dont have the new player to move to the new spot.

I just back them to fix whatever was wrong this week and win next week!

Listen, on age basis our team should be peaking right now.

The AFL have given us a gift-horse draw the likes hasnt been seen by any other side since the pies of 02/03.

We are on the way to blowing an amazing opportunity.

You can see why other supporters despise us. We have been given everything for the last 10 year and still we manage to blow it.

i know its bloody annoying to lose this game, but personally i feel its worth waiting til at leadt rounds 6-8 before judging too much, hopefully we could be 6-2 then and this will seem like a life time a go.

Maybe too optomistic, but the team cant make dramatic trades and so on at the moment, so hope is all we got! I think this team has the capabilities they just need to get it going

Problem is, if we do kick it long against Brisbane this week then we are going to get slaughtered as they zone and pick off the ball in defense better than anyone else in the comp.

I agree though in principle, against certain teams (read most) we do need to be more direct and be prepared to kick it long to a contest and give our forwards a chance to go one on one.

But Brisbane who our current plan A was devised to beat must be denied the ball at cost. It is the only way to beat them.
