    Williams to contest WWE

Would've thought it'd cost them close to $900 odd just to contest the charge.

Wasn't he already pleaded guilty by the AFL?

            He pleads, the tribunal finds.

He has the option to plead guilty - if he does he is fined $900.

If he pleads innocent and the AFL finds him guilty he is fined $1200.

Ok. Has he got any match suspensions though?

Firstly, you don't get suspended for wrestling.

Secondly, how could he anyway when the case hasn't been decided!

I thought he did something back to Rawlings. Why would that be allowed?

Each player gets a free punch each year. Obviously Williams has used his on Rawlings, but Rawlings used his last week against Carlton when he belted Camporeale.

Oh. That free punch rule is stupid. I don't like it. That punch could do a lot of damage and it also couldn't. The players have to be lucky in that case.

Yeah, there was a lot of discussion about it pre season. At one point they were going to consider anything, like elbow or kick, but they decided that was too dangerous so limited it to punches. Can't recall whether it applies only to open handed or whether it includes closed fists. Doesn't anyone else recall?

I certainly don't recall but that rule could only make things worse.

The decision related to closed fists only. Open handed slapping and hair pulling were considered to be already covered under the "ungentlemanly conduct" rules.

Was this the thing they bought in because of Brodie Holland?
