Swans need to take a damn good look in the mirror. If they win this weekend, then they will have a convinient excuse not to.
They certainly do, their hair is a disgrace. But I didn't know the rule about not needing to comb your hair after a win. Is it a new one like the free punch rule?

I think footyhead is saying that the Swans need to reflect a little on their game plan and upon the performance of some of the players. A loss now would go some way to making that happen. An against the odds win, while providing some short time pleasure, may post-pone the required GHLAT, and consequently do more harm than good. Unless, of course, the Swans come out and play a more attacking, open style of football, dispatching Brisbane in the process, and we see Bolton hitting Red and White chests, Schneider sneaking goals from improbable angles, Kennelly tearing up the wing, Kirk bumping bodies out of the way to get his hands on it, and Spriggs burning up the grass gathering possessions like footyhead gets replies to his posts.

Finally Footyhead has an interpreter. Would you like to make the role retrospective ROK so we can understand the last 12 months of posts, too?

New boys thrown to the Lions
"Nobody wants to get dropped and everyone wants to play senior footy, but I think they [Schneider and McVeigh] understand. They are both important players for us and both are still early in their development and it's not unusual for guys early in their careers to have this happen. Sometimes it's the best thing for them. It can be a real positive for them."

                        Spriggs delighted to debut
His role on the weekend will be to "attack the footy and be hard" against the might of the Lions and he is looking forward to the challenge.
                        WOW, thats a new idea.

if they win on saturday, thereby beating one of the very best teams on their home soil, maintaining their ladder position and consolidating their percentage, then maybe, just maybe, they are doing alright and can look forwards to the season ahead.

i can't believe you footyhead. even a hard-fought win against quality opposition is a negative for you.
then again, i think it would be worth trying 15-16 players on field so what would i know
