My remark was a bit of a troll just to see what reactions there may be. We sorely need a good FB who can play against traditional full-forward types. Leo Barry is wasted at FB which I believe played a part in our loss last week (This week it was not as bad as Kennelly stepped it up a bit and took some risks).

Speaking of risks, why did Brisbane get a free kick (I think Bradshaw goaled) when he got tackled after he went for a run on a kick-in? I was at a noisy pub so couldnt hear the commentary and was flabbergasted at the decision because I thought he had got the handball away.

Bradshaw had the slightest grasp of Tiger's guernsey at the point that Kennelly bounced the ball. Apparently that constitutes dropping the ball while being tackled. The commentators thought it was a tough tough call but probably a technically correct one.

Technically it is correct - if you bounce the ball while being tackled it is dropping the ball. It was very close though.

Thanks for the clarification. I had thought he ran too far or got spun around 360 and got pinged despite the handball.

              Actually ...

If you bounce the ball whilst being tackled it would be considered you have had prior opportunity ...

If you have time to bounce the ball, then you have time to dispose of it via a kick or handball ...

That is certainly how it is seen from the perspective of the umpire ...

It's been considered a free kick for about twenty years.

Back to the original thread. I think LRT is far from a basket case. He needs to keep a cool head and think about what he is doing. He's handballs to team mates under pressure seems to have come from not backing his own kicking ability (which was poor last week).

I'm sure the coaching group will keep working with him for the rest of the season then sit back at the end and make an assessment on whether they stick with him.

he plays as though he is scared
the more game time he gets the better he will feel and play. KPP need more time to develop

                          Y'all,

Lets not kid ourselves, he is in the team purely for two reasons, he is Sydney born and bred, and he is a Union convert. End of story.
He lacks a footy brain, he craps himself under any kind of pressure, he makes bad decisions, can't kick, and worst of all, has the worst hairstyle in the team (although O'Keefe is having a crack).

                          LRT and Schauble must go.

Lets recruit and develop some decent youngsters, well some that have at least played the game.

Interesting point tho, he has played 3 games there now and played crap, so how come his 3 opponents have played crap as well? Is this a coincidence or is he really doing his job, by taking them away from the play?

He's learning the game. He is an infant in a man's world. At least he has learnt how to use his body to get into position. You people may think that's easy, but it's not.

I'm in 2 minds on him. When I watch him play I want him off the field but I can also see his improvements and his improvements are promising.

What about Kennelly when he first started? Flash in the pan brilliances here and there but the rest was woeful. Look where he has ended up.
If u don't believe me, I will knock your bloody teeth out and not pay you a cent.
