    Nicksy

sorry if its been discussed where i havent seen. But there are always some calls for his head. I think he played a great game, third best according to afl.com (in the swans team that is) was pivotol in the comeback and was a good mark tonight

what did people think of his game?
Theres not much left to say

Like most of the team he was very orfdinary for most of the game but it appeared to me he was one of the instigators of the comeback, along with Irish. I just wish he had Davis' kicking boots on instead of the concrete blocks he was obviously wearing.

Got to go. There is no room in the team for a veteran who makes those mistakes and poor skill errors. Thats for the 20 year olds to do

i agree with you implication that his positives are still outweighing the negatives. nicks has proven to be a solid kick for us before and deserves a few games to pick up his touch. his leadership (while quite understated) is too valuable to us at the moment.
then again, i think it would be worth trying 15-16 players on field so what would i know

I was screaming for him to come off after he fluffed the goal attempt, especially after lat weeks mistake. All credit to Roos and Nicks, he stayed on and put his body on the line for the rest of the game creating a couple of goals. Look at the last quarter again (and again ).

But he is NOT a forward. He is an all Australian half-back flanker. And played good football there last season as well.

He is responsable for quick transferal up from the ground from our half back line. He may be useful in SMALL stints in the forward line, but for a whole game there he just is not up to it.

Put him at half back and see the best of him, I say.

Nicks was one of the most critical players in the last qtr comeback. He made some very poor errors, but he made up for it with some great plays.

He was the one who made me throw my remote control across the room and break it, but after having watched the last quarter three more times,I have never seen him put his body in like he did in that quarter. Maybe I won't send him the bill!!!

Nicks played well - sure made some blunders - but many of them did. He certainly put his body on the line in the last quarter and that is what Roos is looking for - those that go in and keep going in. Too many bystanders last week.

If I remember correctly, Goodes goal in the final quarter came from a Maxfield pass to Nicks, who kept it going to Goodes while LRT shepherded. I forgave the three of them (Maxfield, Nicks and LRT) for all previous sins at that point.

I agree with Julian, move Nicks to HBF and Kennelly to the wing.

My Dad has a theory that Nicks always misses his first two or three shots on goal. It's proven correct so far.

                          He won us the game.
Using hypothesis testing via confidence intervals:
Nick Davis mark inside 50 = goal

Could say the opposite if we'd lost by a goal.

He's been around too long to make stupid mistakes.

No doubt that he played a part in the win tho'. Also thought that Irish provided a spark by taking them on when others were crapping themselves.

Haha.. I forgave all of them except for LRT... As if he stayed while McVeigh and Schneider were dropped! None of them have been brilliant recently i know, but LRT made at least 3 majorly critical errors during last nights game and even more last week. We need the height yes - but we need someone who passes the ball instead of holding onto it in the face of a tackle!
Nicksy is important to the team - yes he made two stupid mistakes, but he made up for them even more than any of the others that seemed to make similar stupid mistakes. I think he played an excellent game all up.
