    Wins ahead

Looking at the next couple of weeks our best 2 chances of winning matches are coming up. Hawthorn & melbourne are coming up. We always seems to play well against Melbourne, especially at home. Hawthorn aren't playing all that well, & maybe are a chance of being beaten in Melbourne.

I distinctly remember confronting Hawthorn in a match at Colonial when their form was probably even worse than at present.I think it may have been a final and I think we started favourite and got duly smashed by 10 odd goals.

actually s63, in the last few years I've dreaded playing Melbourne. Whatever their form might be, we always seem to have problems matching up on them, for whatever reason. Someone has always popped up to murder us at cruicial points in the game - be it Neitz, Farmer, Robertson etc...

Hopefully we can turn that around

177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....

These two games good very well hold the key to our season 3-5 and we are looking at solid base 2-5 or worse 1-5 and our season could become a nightmare.

What a time to miss Williams to go with our on going injury problems and those underdone.

PLEASE football gods atleast let us win one of the next two.

The hawthorn game for me is the cruical one at the moment.
There are no excuses if we dont manage to beat a injury riddled, out of form hawthorn on saturday night.
2-2 and the season in back on track, 1-3 and a loss to the hawks and the season looks very bleak.
People talk about turning points and this might just be it, for the short term of our season anyway

Without Chick we should be able to account for them.

He always seemed the catalyst for the Hawks.

To a lesser degree Crawford as well, but he is too easily rattled.

            Go Swans.

Its an absolutely critical game. The first half of the draw, up till about round 9 is very tough going. It would be great if we could break even win/loss at that stage, because it would be great momentum going into the easy middle run.

Thats why we desperately need to beat the hawks and go 2-2.
Then we should be able to beat Melbourne at home (did last year) to go 3-2, then loose the next two against the GF'alists to be 3-4 at round 7.

Then it starts getting easier, and we can build up some momentum towards the finals.
If we dont beat Hawthorn, then we would be 2-5 (or even 1-6) and will have lost all confidence.
