    Dear Mr Roos..........

    Dear Roosy,

I notice that our team had a shocking loss last week, followed by the dropping of Jarrad McVeigh, who is the future of the club.

Point 1: The kid can only learn in the AFL game environment, under the tutelage of the once great Stuey Maxfield (or TOK as I like to call him, the Turn Over King) and Jude Bolton. What the hell will he learn playing in the SFL, or Canberra or wherever they go and play?

Point 2: Roosy, we beat Brisbane last night because of a major change to our game plan, run hard and kick long out of the backline, please do this more in the future.

Point 3: Sean Dempster??? Where have we been hiding this kid? He was poised and cool for his first game. He looks ready, please keep him in the team.

Point 4: The LRT experiment is an embarrassing mess. He has no football brain. He handballs to players under pressure, and is a backline liability. We have tried with him long and hard, and the only viable reason we have him is out recruting officers refusal to get a tall defender into the team. Schauble's career is over, lets not persist, we need a good, solid, young defender.

Point 5: Nick Davis looked better up the ground last night, could 'revive' his career, rather than be the one a game 50 metre goal kicking specialist

Point 6: Nicks singlehandedly changed the game for us last night. His hard running out of the backline and longkicking gave us direction, and much sought after one on one forward line contests.

    Thank you

Why didnt you include Schneider in that - Roos said he was also the 'future' of the club....

Point 1 was spot on though!
And the man who started it, the Schneiderman, can kick his third for the quarter. And the swans are in the Grand Final!

Of course their replacements had pretty good games too. And just btw Dempster learnt how to play in those very leagues that are getting bagged.

Players go back to the Magoos to gain some confidence which the 2 players dropped sorely need. I watched Spriggs in the Reserves in Canberra and his form meant he had to come into the team.

I think it was fair to leave out Schneider and McVeigh this week, but good point. Thought Dempster was impressive too.

Point 2 - I'm starting to doubt that the high possession, chip it around style play was ever the game plan. I suspect that this was more a result of the players down on confidence, not taking risks and not backing themselves.

Cannot see why they would loose their confidence. They won the first game handily.

Rather than the last few minutes of the Hawks game I was referring to the lost looking style of play against the Roos and in the first half against the Lions.
