I just don't get carried away by a single win. One win does not a season make...

Also, I like to understand why we win or lose rather than blindly assume we always do well.

The decision to pay the free seemed to be almost delayed. Having watched it several times, and the commentators seemed to intially think the free wasn't going to be paid, I believe it was paid more for the action of bringing Barry to the ground (second action in contest) after the initial contest, rather than for the so called over the shoulder.

I reckon that caught the eye of the umpire more than the marking contest. Barry may have staged that action a bit too.

Brisbane fans seem to be annoyed with it because they reckon that Baz pushed out the opponent in front before Scott made high contact on him. It moves too quickly for me to tell whether it was Michael or Johnson who appeared to get a shove, whether it was Buchanan or Hall who dished it out, and whether there was really much force in it. But certainly the tape shows a Lions player moving suddenly forward just before the ball got to the contest.

So you are waiting to enjoy the moment... that may never come? And why not get "carried away"? Because...

I loved Saturday night, and I am soaking it up all week. Then if I am miserable next week or even the rest of the year, I will be even more glad I enjoyed this week in its entirety.

When did I say I didn't enjoy it. I'm simply enjoying it and understanding it as well, rather than considering it the greatest win of the past few years and really believing we matched it with Brisbane in the first three quarters.

If people want to mindlessly cheer and think we're great at all times they're welcome to do so. But at the same time I don't have to.

It was Buchanan not Hall. Ant it was Johnson who was pushed out. Is it called inappropriate shepherding?
