A Brisbane friend bought our tickets for the game last weekend and it was high in the stands. And because of my work I have $2000 binoculars that I used to watch the Swans huddle at 3/4 time. Roos was very calm as he talked to the whole team then they split into their various forwards, midfield, etc groups. At that stage Roos went over to the players board and made a large number of positional moves. It looked like about eight players or more were being moved. Then, just before they ran back onto the field, they were all brought together and given instructions by Roos and some of them seemed almost bemused by what he was saying.
When the final quarter started I got so caught up in the excitement that I never really looked to see what changes were made. Were there a heap? Or was he merely indicating the runs they were to take? Whatever he said or how he changed the plan, it worked. Any ideas?
