    Will we beat the Crows?

While everyone (with a few exceptions) is basking in Saturday's win, let's have a look towards next Sunday. We got across the line against the Lions; the Crows smashed the premiers. Yet over at BigFooty they are all tipping the Swans. We do have home ground advantage - plus most of an extra day to recover. But the Crows played well.

What do you think of our chances?

IMHO, the key will be the midfield and the stoppages. If we can break even there, we have a far more potent forward line, while the Crows don't have any dominant forwards to really worry our slightly undersized backline.

However, if players like Ricciuto, Edwards, McLeod and Goodwin can get their hands on a fair bit of ball with a bit of time as well, we could be in trouble.

    I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

A great test for our midfield.

I think we'll win, but only if we have a proper shoot-out with them.

Maybe that will silence the critics... for long enough to find something else wrong with us.

i think we'll win, but i don't mind either way as long as it's not a repeat of the last scg swans adelaide clash. that was easily the most boring game ive seen in my life.

A week ago I would've been asking "By how many?". They were pathetic against the pies. Goodwin Macgregor were the only stars and some individual brilliance from McLeod got them home.

Now after their demolition of Port (which I have not seen) I am a bit more sceptical. Was it a flash in the pan win, coa it was the derby? I guess we will find out on Sunday!!

              Swans by 29.

This match coming up is more important than last weeks. I was not at all suprised with the result against Brisbane. I think it is vital for the Swans to put away games at home, that they should win. I would rather them just do that at this point.

In other words I thought the win against Hawthorn was more impressive then the win against Brisbane.

I reckon home ground advantage will get us over the line, but it is no certainty. As has been mentioned above, if our midfield can get some sort of control and get the ball foreward, we should be sweet. Rocket science really....

I'm confident that our defensive midfielders can minimise the impacts of such players as Ricciuto, Mcleod and Edwards etc and on paper we should win the forward line battle. Wouldn't fancy us if we were away. but home ground advantage will be the key IMO

Then why didn't "Rocket" apply it?

Adelaide is hopeful ruckman Matthew Clarke will resume against Sydney at the SCG on Sunday.

Clarke rejoining Ben Hudson and Rhett Biglands would give Adelaide increased flexibility with its talls - in attack and/or defence.

Four other players are unavailable against the Swans. Ben Hart and Brett Burton (hamstrings), Matthew Bode (shoulder) and Jacob Schuback (back) will each miss at least one more match.
Hart and Burton we won't miss, Clarke may be a problem if he plays.

I'm always nervous playing the crows. I think there are very few gimme games this year.

                              I hope we get up.

This season is shaping as a few good sides on top, a large pack in the middle, and Hawthorn to get the woodware. Win this and we are a good chance for a top-four berth. Lose it, and we are going to be in the pack. I'd rather we were one of the good sides than one of the pack sides. A win over the Crows will establish our credentials.
