Aussie Ange & I - along with a bunch of chaps - won third prize about 4 years ago at the teams "raise funds for the end of season trip" trivai night - basically beer & bubbly - which is much easier to distribute amoungst the punters.

Keen to see what other prizes are on offer - hopefully not another $200 of Swans merchandise - I won that last week at Telstra stadium.
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

That's the prize for the raffle on the night. Last year prizes for the winning team were a bag of stuff including wine, a discman, a swans poncho, a small soft footy, movie tickets and a couple of other things.

      I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

No PK is from Wagga, the answer is former Swans captain and best and fairest winner Ricky Quade, not to mention our first coach in Sydney.

In my opinion Quade was an excellent coach he moulded an ordinary team into a competitive unit. When the Swans first arrived in Sydney they were hung out to dry by the VFL heirachy, those early years were a real struggle.
            cheers Ian

Nadia was the nickname for Ricky Quade. He got a 10 out of 10 at the same time Nadia Cominench? in the Olympics got 10 out of 10 at the Gynamstics

Being pedantic, I believe he came from Ganmain. Grong-grong and Matong are nearby and they have an amalgamated team. Agree it is a great name for a team.
I sat by Frosty's Mum and Sisters at one game and they were very passionate and vocal (also won the raffle). His Mum was screaming "go Frosty" and I commented on her being a Frosty fan and she responded "of course, I'm his mother"

I believe that Frosty is actually from Matong and PK grew up in Coolamon (and was born in West Wyalong).

OK, Ian, your turn to post a question.

OK next question a lot has been said about LRTs rugby background but in the Swans early days in Sydney another player who had previously played rugby played senior football for the Swans what was his name.
                            cheers Ian

I booked today, has anyone else? Don't forget to mention RWO so we are together.

I took that photo of Ariah Park on a recent business trip to Leeton. Pretty little town. Once you get to Temora going west all the towns suddenly have proper footy grounds!

Here is a couple for the experts

Who was the first African-American born player to play in the AFL for the Swans?

Which South Melbourne player has coached a AFL/VFL premership since the 70's?
