Just for interests sake, Scotty Stevens has been added to Adelaide's team, as have Ladhams and Bock.

        Drop Buchanan, keep Bevan.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Buchanan is safe for this week, he's not on the extended interchange so we can forget about that idea. I think if Nicksy hadn't played that well in that last quarter he would have been dropped, so I'm guessing Bevan will make way if Micky is fit.

Not sure if the two plays he had are actually worth that much though. He still missed a sitter to seal the game and made us rely on a free to win, plus a couple of costly turnovers two weeks in a row. Sure he put his body on the line but compared to the poise and talent Dempster hinted at, plus the solid firstup contribution of Spriggsy...

My tip is Bevan and Nicks to go and McVeigh and MOL to come in.

Adelaide's strength is in their midfield and it would seem a bit strange to lose a runner through the middle - we might need them.

For that reason alone Nicks might be the one most at risk. Although he was doing a fair bit of running through the middle in last week's final quarter, he is really more of a medium defender/forward.

I hope Nicks is there - he seems to find space when others in the crowd don't. Yes, has stuff ups but also gets us going. (And on your thinking, how long did we drop Jason Ball for last year? He cost us the game!)

I'd like to see Spriggs there, too. He showed good signs of being a very fast hard running midfielder and could be a long term replacement for Willo.

Too many players to pick from? Oh the joy.

They said on 2UE before on the news that Magic got through his training session and they've declared him fit for Sunday.

Wouldn't mind betting it will be LRT who makes way for MOL. Doubt there will be any other changes. It was notable that during the last quarter last week LRT was played forward.

I think Dempster will take over LRT's spot on the backline and MOL will make up the difference on the forward line.
We have them where we want them, everything is going according to plan!

I think I'll take up that bet. It won't happen.

And in that last quarter every Swan was playing forward. It's just another example of Paul Roos ruining the fine game of VFL - now it's the reverse flood.

a moot (spelling?) point now but shouldn't we be making the crows try and match us not the other way around (in ideal world)? Maybe the smaller SCG requires less runners?

Ha! It would be funny is Spriggs only plays away games or at Telstra Stadium.
