Our foot skills even in perfect conditions are near the poorest in the comp IMHO, so why would we would anything to make kicking even more difficult.

I know the teams have changed alot since the 98 SF, but go back and watch that game and skills were the primary reason Adelaide pantsed us that night.

    I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

Skills! That's a damn unfair way to win a game. Especially geriatrics that have been doing it to us for the past seven years.

If we can't kick and we over use hand passes, I'm at a loss to work out how we've made the last few finals. It looks like if it's raining on Sunday the Swannies may as well take a leave out of Grant Thomas' book and head to the flicks to catch a matinee.

Just for a glimpse into the alternative, I think the Saints could fairly say we out-skilled them in R11 last year. So maybe we can do it again this weekend? Even against the talented Crows.

It's not to say we never have good skills. When our confidence is up and everything is going just right and the other team is put on the back foot (for whatever reason) then we can look spectacular. However, this is not something that happens regularly and is not something that you can count on going into a game. With teams like Brisbane and Port, over the past few years you generally expect to see a game where disposal skills will be first rate by most of the players for much of the game.

Read the forum on the Lion's fansite and see what Brisbane supporters think about the way Brisbane played on Saturday night. A team's supporters are often its harshest critics.

Brisbane and Port were both shocking last week, but that's why I said 'generally'. Doesn't happen every week but poor skills are the exception rather than the norm.

Read the papers boys. The Herald Sun has them on Sunday and Monday in the teams stats.

And for those of us who aren't in Melbourne?

Tonight's game was pretty open and interesting to watch without the over-abundance of scrimmages and packs and stoppages and other ugly stuff...

Let's hope some of our rookies keep progressing well!
Some of these names look familiar? We are undersized and hence the likes of Perrie kill us everytime, yet do nothing else all year. Time to give more time for our developing talls, cause otherwise we are in serious trouble.
