Saw Micky o and Roosy speaking at training today, sounds like Micky got through the session well and will line up, they suggested that Spriggs will be the unlucky one to miss

Maybe Beven has "cemented" a spot in the side, regardless of the occassional bad game? I agree that it'd be rough for Spriggs to miss out.Occupational hazards:

MOL could easilly wake up with a twinge and pull out Sunday...
Spriggs probably showed enough to make sure he gets a decent chance in the seniors this year. I am pleased to say I thought he did enough last week. Hope to see him and Fozzie in the 22 by season's end.Comment

I'd rather see Bevan and McVeigh firmly established in the 22 by season's end because they have more scope for improvement. McVeigh, in particular, is the one we need to turn into a top class midfielder. The very early signs in the pre-season were very very good so it's a tad disappointing that he hasn't gone on with it yet this year.
We are shooting ourselves in the foot by not giving some of the younger guys more time. At least Dempster, The Hyphen, Bevan and Bucky are still playing. That is pretty good.Last edited by Wil; 16 April 2005, 09:02 AM.Comment

As you say, we still have quite a number of young guys in the side. There's just not enough free spots for all of them. But at least we've got the competition for spots that means there are others knocking on the door ready to go.Visit my eBay store -

Bevan had a horror night, but can still kick a footy. Spriggs was deliberately trying to not kick the thing, and was making stupid handpasses to other players under pressure. Very dodgy, i tell you.
