    Jude Bolton

Much as I have dumped it on B1 in the past, I think he is looking good so far this season. Staying on his feet more, backing himself from outside 50 and generaly more direct. Thought he was our best today.

Yes, I agree - he was a standout today.

He got at least 3 or 4 centre breaks in the last 40 minutes of play - tried bloody hard and put his body on the line.

Yes, he does make mistakes but if all players attacked the ball like him we would be much better.

I agree, I think Jude can hold his head high today, tries his hardest, have been a major critic of his, but the one thing he does do even though at times makes mistakes is Try to give his best

He was just about the only one to put in all day. He is making our other midfielders look pedestrian.

Then again maybe they all are based on that performance.

              Yeah Jude was good.

A few times when we were going up the field we were running along and then a Crows player would be tail gating us and the Swans just wouldn't kick the ball!

I thought he used the ball quite well today - he kept his feet and found targets. Made a nice change - for both him and the team!

However, it also shows how desperately we need a high quality midfielder. Without Williams (who is getting too old for us to rely upon) we have no one who can really deliver the drive we need. Bolton works well as the steady, hard-grind third midfielder, but he will never be good enough to turn a game.

Well done Jude. Unfortunately today you were the only midfielder not tagging some one at centre bounces so most of the time got blocked out of the contest. Hats off to your fitness though. You kept getting stronger as the game went on.

I have been one of your greatest critics but today you got it right. Pity about the rest of them.

Yep, Bolton is the work horse and Willo is the Rolls Royce, and when Willo, went off, no one was able to stand up and take charge, like he does.

Last week, Jude put in a Captain's Goal to get us ready for Bazza's fabulous kick.

In Q1, he set up two goals today, and he led the way. He wasn't perfect, but he was a standout. Most importantly, he never stopped trying and he never stopped LEADING the team. That's what we need in a captain. He was in everything, and that's what we need. A captain needs to be in the middle of the ground where he can make an influence.

He's not perfect, but he has the attitude, the commitment and the respect to lead. He's all over the ground and can influence the players and the play.

His form this season has been very solid. His marking skill is a rarity within our midfield group. Probably in top 3 best and fairest this year so far.

Absolutelty ROK! You know that Jude has become a class player when he manages to play consistent football even when the remainder of his team mates struggle.

His disposal has improved out of sight as well. Can hold his head high!

Will also have to work even harder now with Willo out for a while.
                            Swannies for life!

After the last couple of weeks in particular, it's an absolute pleasure to see this thread.
And somewhat unsurprisingly I can only concur with the above posts.
