I have sympathy with Diego's feelings. I often wonder what I did in a former life to be saddled with one of the worst performing teams in the AFL. Unfortunately, for whatever bizarre reason, you are stuck with who you support - you can't change (of course, you can go neutral, but I reckon that's actually rather difficult - it's like just staying friends!).
Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

Oh no! Despite our statistical incompatibility I was hoping we could still be friends.

I think that would have been funnier if said with a faux robotic voice.

My problem exactly. Evere since moving to Melbourne (from sydney) I was trying to switch clubs, because of the ammount of games Sydney is playing here, but couldn't do it. It's addictive. I know it looks like a bad one, but it's still there.

Prehaps I am just a sucker for punishment, but their is no way in hell I would support any AFL side other than Sydney (even allowing for another Sydney based side)
I don't think it is a case of negativity as I see it, more a case of disappointment that the side we all love, really struggled and the perceived lack of effort from most players.

At the moment in Sydney, if you want to follow AFL, you're stuck with the swans.

All the more reason to get a 2nd side in here:
                - Make the swans compete off field
                - Make the swans compete on field.

A new team coming in, winning a flag within 5 years, might be the severe kick up the ring the swans, as a club, need.

This is one of my greatest nightmares, that a new Sydney team would come in and win a flag before the swans do.

Its bad enough that Freo is now the only team left that is as unsuccessful as the Sydney Swans.

Not necessarily other clubs have various supporters groups here in Sydney, so nothing to stop you following them.
No way in hell would a new side to Sydney win the flag within 5 years, there is simply not the infrastructure in place
