Because he is such a good kick and is so confident and relaxed, I find this is a very useful and comforting thing to see him do. Also, it's not exactly the mark of a lazy player. Also, I noted on at least two occasions he delivered nice handballs to players in the F50 in good position. I agree that he could try a bit harder, but in some ways his laconic approach makes him look lazier than he is - very similar to DRJ.
    Good to read your input above - you seem to of worked Nic out. He does float down back and slips under the guard of the opposition. He is good at kicking goals and if he can keep it up - it certainly helps us. He seems to be a loner and guess he may need some support this weekend against the dirty magpies.
    Sure hope we can slop c'wood it would be great to see malthouse whinge and whine again and then maybe the media might be interested in Sydney
    Love those Swans

      Excuse my ignorance but who is DRJ?

      I for one like Davis' attitude. Not drawing to much attention but managing to get a couple of goals a game. Let Hall grab the attention and leave Davis out of the limelight. Won't happen this week, Collingwood know how good he is.

        DRJ = David Rhys Jones.

              Is Roos playing games or is he genuine in his belief that the Eddies wil target Davis?

              Swans may shift Davis
              01 May 2003 Herald Sun

              SYDNEY coach Paul Roos may move former Collingwood forward Nick Davis to stop him being a target for his old club at Telstra Dome on Saturday night.

              After much speculation last season about his future and questions over his commitment to the Magpies, Davis was traded to Sydney.

              The 23-year-old forward has kicked nine goals in his first five games for the Swans.

              "We might do something different with Nick this week, just to help him through because it can be difficult," Roos said.

              Pressed on what Sydney would do differently with Davis, Roos replied: "In terms of where he will play."

              Roos revealed Sydney was poised to blood a third rookie this year if Matthew Nicks (back) failed to recover.

              Onballer Adam Schneider this week won the Rising Star nomination for his performance against Melbourne last week when another 18-year-old, ruckman James Meiklejohn, made his senior debut.

              Roos was optimistic Craig Bolton (concussion) and Andrew Schauble (back) would be fit to help counter Collingwood's tall forwards. - AAP
