Maybe we should just open up another forum dedicated to the nuff nuff...

- Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in a world they've been given, than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact, it's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration, it's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing! -
And now, for 2 glorious weeks this year (barring injury), he'll be captain! I just hope no-one on the forum had an aneurysm when they found out.
In all seriousness, could the moderators please create a new forum within Footy Forums, separate from RWO Chat, entitled 'Swans players who totally suck arse'? It would help separate out the two distinct reasons people come on the forums:
1. To bag out a particular player (or, if feeling particularly effusive, players).
2. To talk about anything else related to the Swans in any way. Anything else at all.
Category 1 is obviously larger than category 2.Comment

T'rrific bloke too and isn't that the most important thing...Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

Ah, but which of the meaning of "terrific" are you using here?Originally posted by Diego

I reckon the Swans have found themselves between a rock and a hard place with Benny and the captaincy issue. I don't think anyone seriously expects him to get captain (including him, the Swans heirarchy, fans etc.), but he is part of the leadership group. All of the others in the group (bar Willo and Ball who have ruled themselves out due to age) have a fairly decent shot at captain: Goodes, Kirk, Hall, Bolton and Barry, and it doesn't bother me too much to have them rotating as captain for the rest of the season. Among this group, I reckon Mathews stands out like a sore thumb in regards to onfield performance, but it'd be hard to leave one player out of the rotational thing. I don't mind that he's in the leadership group (he may lead very well off the field), it just sucks that he's the only one within the group who isn't really captain material, IMO.Comment

It's psychosomatic. Matthews' subconscious mind has been taking note of this and other threads and reality has dawned - I'm a useless WOFTAM!Originally posted by Barry Schneider
He is out this week with an injured foot.
So his subconscious mind has convinced his body to become injured to avoid further embarrasment. Similar thing happened to Maxfield with his knee.

P.S. - I thought his disposal on Saturday night was trully trully awful. I've always thought he is the most boring footballer on the list. Think I might do a poll on that one.Last edited by Legs Akimbo; 11 May 2005, 10:41 PM.He had observed that people who did lie were, on the whole, more resourceful and ambitious and successful than people who did not lie.Comment
