It would be good to see Goodes back in to the ruck, if only for the time being, though Roos seems determined not to use him there, he would be a good matchup around the ground for White as well.

I don't see the point of putting LRT in the ruck at all. Might as well put Spriggs, then at least we have another small in there when the ball hits the deck
I wish my weed was EMO so it would cut itself

Been saying this for 2 years. We get belted out of the centre week in week out. Why? Because they don't go for the footy. They play defensive blocking tactics, then one of the opposing wingers HF or HB enter the contest and away they go.

We appear to be second to the ball at centre bounces - reactive not proactive. We also have another problem. With the exception of Williams our players are poor kicks. Eg. Bolton, Kirk, Matthews. The reaction times of our players when they do get it are slow. No sharpness about them and always seem to be running in wide arcs to break out of the centre, so kicks have little penetration or accuracy.

Don't agree with that for Kirk. Even last weekend in congestion Kirk managed to get the ball onto his boot and kick it our way. But it would be good to have Goodes back in the ruck reading the play as well as he can.

We have always played our best footy when Goodes is in the ruck.

It's time to give opposing coaches a headache as to how they'll match up on him when he's rucking again.

I am wondering whether Roos reluctance to play him there has more to do with a fear of appearing stupid after his bold statement last year that he'd never play Goodes in the ruck again.

If you ask me our current game plan is far more ridiculious.

It doesn't have to be a backdown by Roos - the AFL backed down and changed the rules so Adam can play there with little chance of injury. As Willo showed, you can get injured anywhere.

By the way, where's Saddo? Now we could use him.

Apparently played last week in the 2's, but Roos said he and Schauble won't be considered this week. Im guessing at least one will be if LRT doesn't get up.

                So why nominate Earl Shaw??????
I've noticed that this has come up a few times on this board, but I haven't read it anywhere else . . . certainly can't find it on the Swans site.

Where did you find out that Shaw has been promoted?
