Some sort of publicity, I guess

Having a fun old time in Adelaide, I watched the GF of Dancing with Stars (first time watch of the show). The guy who won identified himself as a Swans supporter and was presented with a signed guernsey. When asked by Daryl Somers who was #7, he said Heath James ... not even close.

Why waste a jumper on this bloke! (pick me!) And in the preview there were a bunch of Swans cheering him on (even Jude and I think Bazz... it was a few hours ago)! At least he could know who they were ...

I guess all publicity is good publicity ( at least that's what Andy Wharhol said).

Just getting into the RWO groove of illiterate, ungrammatical, ill-considered posts. Why buck a trend?

I thought the same Bron, but when relaying it to Hubby I think perhaps Tom thought Dazza was asking who his favourite player was. Perhaps I'm being generous towards Tom, perhaps he has no idea?? I guessed they were giving him the '7' being the identifying symbol of the station which the show was held on.

I do remember though being almost run down by Tom taking a mark once in kick to kick on the SCG. At the time all I could think of was "Hey that's that guy from The Great Outdoors... Stupid Bastard. Look where you're going". I had no idea what his name was at the time. I have also seen him up in the box with other seven identities.

That's how I formed my opninion anyway

I still have no idea who he is, but he does appear to have pretty good bod! He looks young enough to be a swan?!?

I think Warhol said that "In the future everyone will be famous for fifteen minutes."

I don't know who said "There's no such thing as bad publicity (as long as they spell your name right)."

And Bam Bam, if you are talking about Tom from Great Outdoors (I don't watch dancing shows - I see enough juggling shows with Swans replays) he was up in the Arctic with me and told me he lives in Annandale and was impressed the first time that Jude walked into the local pub. Now they are friends and he sort of follows the Swans because of that link.

I maintain that you don't have to know a players number until they make their senior debut. So we can still call him a fan (I think we might be running short after the last few weeks)

I saw that episode and I wondered if you had gone on a trip like that at some stage.

Heh, I had no idea whether Warhol said it. I just wanted to post the name 'Warhol' so I could ask Bron 'pun intended?'

Oh, and in Tom's defense, I'm willing to admit that I didn't know who the #7 was until I looked it up on the website just then!

Me too!!! My first thought tho' was Seymour, so I get half a point for that.

And the fact that no one has seen 7 running around in the seniors for a few years, you can forgive him!!!!
