    mcveigh and frustrated thoughts

I know this has been raised in another thread - but why does mcveigh spend so little time on the ground, he is just the type of player we need out on the ground more, one of our best kicks, he seems to be more of a natural kick than a nicks or davis. Further, i think he should be taking the kick outs, how painful is it to watch craig bolton take a kick out and immediate looking for a guy 15 metres away in the pocket. if only we had wirripunda, he basically never takes that option and if in doubt will boot it long.

why doesn't goodes go back to playing in the ruck whewre he was an all australian and a brownlow medalist. i know roos thinks he could hurt his knees, but the new ruck rules were brought in specifically to stop that. He could get injured anywhere on the field, this rubbish of starting at half back and then going into the ruck i think has everyone confused. To me he played his best football as a ruckman who pushed back to help out schauble and saddington rather than a half backj who pushed into the ruck and sometimes went forward.

I used to think we were being unfairly targetted as a team who deliberately cause stoppages, but it is incredibly frustrating to watch as a supporter, I had to leave the room on saturday night because of the rubbish style of play, more like a maul in rugby, and it doesn't work because eventually the ball spills out to someone like maxfield or buchannan or mathews or crouch and they kick it straight to the opposition.

IS it just me or would we be better of having a larger home ground, we don't have the backline strength to handle a side that gets the ball in quickly to their forwards, and our forward consists on basically hall, and a whole lot of small forwards.

anyways, im frustrated, im sure we will put up a great effort in perth nextr week, lose narowally when our backlines cracks under pressure late in the game, and then the following week we will probably lose another game at home which we should win and we will all start to realise that we may never see sydney win a premiership, unless the afl gives us some extra draft picks, and when we get those draft picks they will show early form and immediately want to leave sydney, thanks, rocca, grant and gaspar.

    bye

The Swans and the AFL should lean on the SCG trust to extend the SCG by abot 20 feet.

If the SCG trust wont do it, the Swans must leave the SCG, they can't produce the kind of footy that they need to with such a small home ground.
A major part of their problem I think.

There are many things that seem to naturaly resist the invasion of AFL into the Sydney market.

This is one of them and it along with the others must be rectified.

No, Sydney should scrap playing at Telstra. Then Roos should plan his team for our, fairly large, home advantage at the SCG. We should be able to be unable to be beaten at home. Once we get that should we start worrying about winning away.

RUBBISH! There is only one thing that helps "resist the invasion" and that is success. If Sydney turn into the next Brisbane - SCG and even Telstra stadium will start selling out very quickly. Sydney sport fans only care about success, and the Swans are not very good at success.
